I married and stayed home to raise my kids and then returned to college.
I graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2014.
I have an Early Childhood Education Certification from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
I have attended professional development and been trained in:
PAX Good Behavior

Journeys Curriculum Training
Phonics Dance
The Educator’s Summit
The Kindergarten Smorgasbord Elevate Training
Really Great Reading Countdown
Universal Handwriting
Numerous workshops/conferences on reading instruction.
I taught as a Pre-K assistant here at Krebs for 7 years while my children attended Krebs Public School.
While working as a teacher assistant I attended college classes at night and finished my Early Childhood Education Degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
I began teaching Kindergarten at McAlester Public Schools in 2014. I taught there for 7 years.
I then moved back to Krebs to teach Kindergarten and this will be my third year to do that.
In total, I have been with Krebs for 10 years, but only 3 as a Kindergarten teacher.
The experience I gained as a stay at home mom and later as a PreK assistant prepared me for my teaching experience. I learned so much from many wonderful teachers I was able to observe during my tenure as an assistant here at Krebs.
I married my husband, Terry in 1992. We have been married for 32 years. We have three children who are all married. All three of them attended Krebs Public School. I also have five grandchildren and one on the way. We have two cats and two grand-dogs.
When I am not teaching I enjoy reading mysteries, playing the piano, working 1000 piece puzzles, Bible study, watching home renovation TV shows, hiking and traveling with my family.
